Terrific heartwarming frugal family cookbook

Author Margaret Mary Myers has written a terrific heartwarming family cookbook aimed to help cooks learn how to cook frugally. Her cookbook contains how to create a pantry list for the "reserve shelf," menu ideas for a trip and a emergency menu plan for a week. One of the things I truly loved about her cookbook was her warm, kind writing making it seem like your mom was in the kitchen standing by your side teaching you how to cook frugally. Another thing I loved was the inclusion of Bible verses illustrating key ideas throughout her cookbook.

Such a GREAT "taste that forbidden fruit" book!!

Allie & Paige have been friends since they were girls, along w/ Allie comes her little brother, Cannon.. He is 4 years younger & always so smart, conservative , goal oriented kind of kid.. (he always crushed on his older sister's bff, Paige..
now Paige 28 - living on her own, good job (yet not any luck in the relationship Dept.. still bff w/ Allie) receives a call asking a huge favor- Cannon is finishing up med school just 10 min from her house (in 2 months) and his landlord asked him to leave due to a 'psycho ex' .. Paige reluctantly agrees, as she hasn't had someone living w her since Allie.. then finally agrees.. what's 2 months? Until, Cannon arrives " he is a 'Greek god' gorgeous & turned into a fabulous man!' How is this to work? The way they are staring at one another w lustful eyes- this is going to be o LONG 2 months!! Lol
What a fabulous book! With some drama, sexual tension, HOT sex scenes, (yes - Canon grew up & now in medical school is all 'alpha male' takes Paige by surprise in more ways then one... i also LOVE the humor in the book!! Must read

Hot hot hot!!

Finally at the end of his medical degree, and about to apply for a residency, Cannon finds himself homeless after he is evicted by landlord for too much drama. It seems that Cannon attracts psycho women, and his latest one trashed his apartment and all his belongings. So when his sister suggests he move in with her best friend, Paige, for a couple of months, he is grateful, and is looking forward to it.

It's been five years since Paige last saw Cannon, and she just remembers him as Allie's nerdy little brother. Boy, is she shocked when she sees the extremely hot man he has become. Cannon is not as shocked to see the gorgeous woman she has become, as he had had a crush on her for about ten years.

When Cannon explains about his tendency to sleep with women who fall in love with after a night of sex, Paige makes the suggestion that she could prove him wrong. And with that, they begin a hot sexual relationship which will make them both question their ability to have a no-strings affair.

This was the first book of Kendall Ryan that I've read and I can assure you, I'll be reading more. The sex was super hot, and the love story was sweet.

Review: Roommates 1: The Room Mate

The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan is the first book in her brand new Roommates series. Told in dual POV this book starts out as normal as any other - we learn about Cannon and his unlucky history with women and their psychotic tendencies. He is sudden need of a place to stay and his sister hooks him up and convinces her best friend (since childhood) to let him stay at her place for the next two months until his residency begins. We also learn about Paige, how she likes her space but is quickly becoming A-OK with sharing it with Cannon despite how bad this could go for her friendship with Allie.

So the lust and attraction builds between these two and they have a couple of racy run-ins in the apartment and it's hot and tension building... And then the story just explodes into another level of awesomeness you don't see coming. Twists and turns and some major dilemmas are now part of the deal and you just won't be able to put this book down until the very LAST page is read.

Loved it and I cannot wait to see what is next for us in The Play Mate, The House Mate, and The Soul Mate - the next books in the series. Enjoy!

About the Author
Richard Mead convenes international management programs at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has 35 years experience teaching communications management, including a visiting position at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern, and teaching at the Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration, Thailand.

Tim Andrews is Senior Lecturer in Management at the University of Strathclyde, UK.

The Bible for International Managers

Richard Mead has achieved a rare victory: he has written a book which covers both western and eastern business culture thoroughly, objectively and fairly. He never indicates a preference for either culture, yet is able to present the pros and cons of both with equal clarity. He covers all leading international management cultural theory (Hofstede, Trompenaars, Hall, et. al), provides thought-provoking and original cases for analysis and discussion, and even has a helpful summary & quiz section at the end of each chapter. Part IV, Making the Strategy Work, HRM Issues, offers a clear and unbiased look at expatriation and training, both from the HR and from the expatriate manager's perspectives. Having lived and worked for two decades in Asia, this reviewer can attest to the veracity of the many sections on Asian business culture...and as an intercultural management trainer, to the depth and detail of the cross-cultural theory explained so completely, and yet in a way which every expatriate manager can grasp at once. This is an MBA-in-a-book....don't leave home without it.

Easy to understand

This is a great book for International Management students. I know minimal on the subject going in and because my class was so fast-paced it was nice to have this book where there are summaries throughout each chapter/sub chapter. I'm not a big fan of textbooks in general but this one was easy to read and if you want the cliff-notes, essentially, they have them! ;-) I'm not trying to promote slacking off in classes but when you are too busy to see straight it helps!

About the Author

Donald L. Anderson, PhD, University of Colorado, teaches organization development and organization design at the University of Denver. He is a practicing organization development consultant and has consulted internally and externally with a wide variety of organizations, including Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions. Dr. Anderson’s research interest is in discourse in organizational and institutional settings, and his studies of organizational discourse and change have been published in journals such as the Journal of Organizational Change Management, Gestion, and Journal of Business and Technical Communication. He is also the editor of the text Cases and Exercises in Organization Development & Change (2nd ed., Sage Publications, 2017).
