Three beautifully written short stories about women with curves and the men who love them.

There are three short stories in this one volume about curvy women and the men who love them
In The Curve Ball we meet Maggie Jones and Jake Rawlins. Maggie is the owner and operator of a bakery that specializes in Chocolates. Jake is the owner of a contractor firm. Since first coming to town a year ago, Jake has been trying to get Maggie to go out with him. Maggie thinks that Jake is just kidding when he asks her for a date, so she responds accordingly. When Maggie's best friend Lisa asks her to attend a charity function in order to help her keep her job, Maggie can't say no, but also knows that whoever she gets partnered with will be disappointed by his plus-sized match. She's shocked when she realizes that her date for the night is none other than Jake.
In The Beast Loves Curves, we meet Abbie Wright, a computer programmer & website designer who has just been given the task of designing a charity website for local businessman and wealthy entrepreneur Ian Campbell who is recovering from a severe car crash. Even before his accident, Ian was known as the Beast because of his high demands from those who work for him, so Abbie is woefully unprepared for the flirtatious man she meets. She's even more woefully unprepared for the sparks that fly between them.
In Curved By Design, we meet nurse Molly Whitney and Devon Richards, the brother of one of her best friends. Molly had previously met Devon when she attended his parents anniversary party with her friend Dylan. She was awed by how quickly they seemed to connect and was surprised when Devon whisked her out to the patio and proceeded to shower her in hot kisses. However, when they get interrupted by Dylan, Molly is hurt by Devon's actions afterwards. Fast forward six months later when Molly has been invited to Dylan's engagement party to her other best friend Lauren. While truly happy for Dylan & Lauren, Molly dreads seeing Devon again and the dread is not helped by her mother's constant harping about her weight. After all, she figures that Devon must have been turned off when he felt her curves and realized she was overweight- right?

Lets hear it for the big girls

This was a great collection with well written stories and fabulous characters. Its just great to see that BBW can find love too! Even though most of the ladies had an image problem, they were all able to overcome their feelings and embrace someone who loved and cared for them.
In spite of misunderstandings, blind dates for a charity dinner; having to replace a fiancé to help her boss and the usual comments about weight from jealous women, these stories rock. J.S. Scot has become one of my favorite authors.
Well written, entertaining and a great read!

I like this author.

This is not the collection I'd start with reading with this author (the Billionaire series or the Vampires or even the Changelings are much better) but I like that this author's books are simple, sexy, sure a little raunchy, and the language is a little raw, but they're sweet and to the point. Her heroes/heroines are never game-players or over complicated. This particular series was a little... sterotyped. I think all the heroines were size 18s which made me wonder about the authors fixation with that size rather than size 14 or 16 or size 20 or size 22 or higher. As someone who's been on the higher spectrum of BBW clothing sizing but now fits into the "conventional romance" norm size of clothing, I found interesting the size the author considered attractive for all three heroines. That said, the author did a really good job writing sweet and sexy romance stories without turning her heroines into fetish queens.
