Good to see a continuation...bbbuuuuttttt....

I really enjoyed the first 7 books of the incarnations. This one, well, it just didn't come close. There really wasn't much substance, just sex, sex, and more sex. The final climax (no pun intended) was a sex contest.
Yes, it did further the story, but I really expected more of the mysterious nox.
If you enjoyed the previous books, you'll probAbly want to read it just to say you did. Just be prepared for a fairly shallow story. Kind of like the original star wars, and the phantom menace kind of thing.

I enjoyed it. I liked the closure and having the questions answered. Nox was always a strange and difficult to relate to character, and somehow the book is an odd reflection of that.
As other reviewers have said/complained, the story contains a lot of sex, but I wonder if they've forgotten that, in the series every single interaction with Nox involved sex--mind-blowing sex. The book simply reflects that.
If you've read the first 7, you want to read this.

Worst book I have read by Piers Anthony. I had such high hopes after the first seven books in this series that when I saw this was a sequel I immediately bought it. To me, this book was basically soft porn. Character development was thin and the story flimsy. Very disappointing.
