This book was a required reading for a fully online class at Portland State University (hmm globalization at it's finest?). Fortunately, for that class, I was lucky enough to have the author of the book as my professor. With that being said, this scenario in no way influenced my 100% honest review. The book not only presented a logical flow of information, but also covered a variety of topics and is paramount to a successful beginning knowledge of Global Studies. The book provided a dearth of information while not making it too bland and wordy. I fully recommend this book to other Global Studies students as well as academics and general readers alike.
